Feenix is an online crowdfunding platform that allows university students to raise money to fund their tertiary education. 
One of the benefits of using Feenix is that people all around the world can see you, what you're studying and how much money you need to cover your studies. People are also able to see the amount of money that people have already donated to you.
In order to apply to be hosted on the Feenix website, you must visit www.feenix.org and click on "register" under the menu option. Then follow the prompts for student profile registration.
Here's the qualifying criteria 

You must be a South African citizen/permanent resident/refugee or asylum seeker
You must have a certified copy of your identity document
You must be registered at a public South African university
You must have an official* fee statement (it must be less than 30 days old and have an official university letterhead 
Your combined household income must be under R600k per year

Verification could take around 3 weeks and is dependent on you uploading the correct documentation. 
In order to keep their operation sustainable, Feenix takes 7.5% of each donation made to cover administrative costs. The 7.5% admin cost is paid by the funder, not the student. You also do not have to pay the money back.
