The Gauteng Department of Education (GDE) announced that the 2023 Online Admissions application period for Grade 1 and Grade 8 will begin on 22 July 2022 at 8 AM and close on 19 August 2022.
In 2022, the GDE received a total of 347 216 applications for Grade 1 and 8 placements at schools in the province.
Parents are encouraged to save the date to apply on time and secure space for their children for the 2023 academic year.
Here Are The Five Steps Parents And Guardians Must Follow When Applying For School Placement
Step 1 - Registration of Parent/Guardian Details
Step 2 - Registration of Home Address Details
Step 3 - Registration of Learners Details
Step 4 - Parents must apply to a minimum of 3 schools and a maximum of 5 schools
Step 5 - Parents must ensure they have certified copies of the all the required documentation and upload them to the system or submit them physically to the schools they chose when applying
