Training and development is a function of human resource management that is concerned with organisational activity aimed at bettering the performance of individuals and groups in organisational settings. HR professionals are typically responsible for designing the training plan for new employees however; training managers may also be involved in this process as well. The training plan must be focused on the intended results of the program. This means it should address issues like what is expected to be learned? What are the goals of the program? Is there a budget allocated to the program? How long will it take to implement?
