Mafikeng - Screams and laughter filled the Sol Plaatje Primary School in Mafikeng when 2010 FIFA World Cup ambassador Zakumi visited the school on Friday.

Clad in their Bafana Bafana jerseys with their names at the back, pupils put their best foot forward as they performed the Diski dance with the official mascot.

Zakumi was accompanied by officials from the department of Economic Development and Tourism.

Departmental spokesperson Baabua Thukubi said Zakumi was brought to the school to educate pupils about the importance of playing a role in the hosting of the World Cup.

All the pupils were given Vuvuzelas donated by the North West Parks and Tourism. Zakumi also visited Lotlamoreng Primary School, ,Ladybird Pre-school and Sunshine Pre-school.- BuaNews.
