Dr. Oosthuizen brings with her over three decades of invaluable experience in the field of higher education, having made significant contributions to academic leadership and student support during her 37-year tenure at the University of South Africa (UNISA).
Dr. Oosthuizen's most recent role was as Director for Strategic Projects and Portfolio Planning in the office of the Vice Principal: Teaching and Learning, where she played a pivotal role in portfolio planning, monitoring, and reporting.
During her time at UNISA, Dr. Oosthuizen held several distinguished positions, including Associate Professor of Economics, Acting Deputy Executive Dean for the College of Economic and Management Sciences, and Head of Tuition, Quality Assurance and Student Support.
Having obtained her Doctorate of Commerce in Economics from the University of Johannesburg in 2002, she is excited to be joining STADIO in their quest to redefine the academic landscape in South Africa.
I am delighted to be part of this dynamic institution which responds to market needs with their range of innovative qualifications and programmes. As the Head of STADIO's School of Administration and Management, my vision is to help establish the school as the foremost provider of management programmes in South Africa and my ambition is to achieve nothing less than the number one spot in terms of offering quality tertiary education to sought-after students.
Dr. Divya Singh, Chief Academic Officer at STADIO, shares her enthusiasm about Dr Oosthuizen's appointment, "We are elated to extend a warm welcome to Dr. Truida Oosthuizen.
Her illustrious career and wealth of experience will no doubt play a significant role in propelling our School of Administration and Management to new heights. We look forward to seeing the impact of her invaluable contribution to the growth and success of the institution."
Beyond her professional achievements, Dr. Oosthuizen's interests extend to gardening, where she derives immense joy from planting, despite humorously admitting she lacks green fingers and the ability to "feed the nation" just yet.
