If you haven't been placed in university or college yet, the Central Application Clearing House (CACH) can help with that. CACH is a government service that aims to match your exam results and study preferences with vacant spaces that need to be filled at universities or colleges.
The service is only available to students who already applied to university but did not receive a space. Through the CACH service, students can receive offers from alternative universities who have the space to accommodate them. Because CACH aims to give students alternative options, it is not available to students who only want to study at a specific institution. These students are advised to apply and communicate with that specific institution.
How Does It Work?
CACH will take your matric exam results from the Department of Basic Education. Your applicant data will be distributed to possible institutions in the Post School Education and Training (PSET) sector

Applications for CACH are currently open and will close on the 31st of April 2021.
