Toyota has been in South African since 1961 and they have their main manufacturing plant is located in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. This facility produces a range of vehicles for both the local and export markets.
The Toyota plant assembles popular models such as the Toyota Hilux, Fortuner, Corolla Cross, and Hiace
Learnership programmes are developed so that the learners can get hands-on work experience while at the same time benefiting from a formal education syllabus.
This leads to a full, recognised qualification on successful completion. Learners are paid a monthly stipend, while they are working and studying on the Learnership.
This Maintenance Learnership Programme at Toyota includes the following training:

Assembly & manufacturing Drawing &
Marking off Welding
Operate & monitor production machines
Prepare surfaces
Fire fighting
Operations & dispatch products
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
National Technical Certificate [N3 – N6]
Matric/Technical Matric with Maths & Physical Science or Engineering Science, Electrical Trade Theory or Mechanical Trade Theory, or Motor trade Theory, Mechanical Drawing, Graphical Design,
COMPETENCIES:
Good Communication skills
Planning and Organizing Adaptability Analytical
Accurate information gathering and analysis
Perseverance
NQF Level 3 certification achieved on completion of the Learnership programme.
