The Western Cape Education Department (WCED) has officially announced the release date for the 2024 National Senior Certificate (NSC) exam results.
The 2024 NSC exams concluded on November 28th, marking the end of a rigorous year of study for over 732,000 full-time and 136,000 part-time candidates nationwide. A dedicated team of over 55,000 markers will be working diligently at 188 marking centers across the country to assess the exam scripts.
The marking of the 2024 matric exams is currently underway, and we thank our officials for all their hard work in making the exams a success.
Matric Results Release Date and Access
Western Cape Education MEC, David Maynier, expressed gratitude to all involved in the 2024 matric exams. He confirmed that Basic Education Minister Siviwe Gwarube will officially announce the national results on 13 January, 2025.
"The national results announcement will take place on Monday, 13 January 2025 in Gauteng," said Maynier.
For Western Cape matriculants, the results will be accessible from Tuesday, 14 January 2025. This adjusted release date ensures that the start of the 2025 school year is not disrupted.
Individual results for Western Cape candidates will be available at schools and on the WCED website from 10h00 on Tuesday, 14 January 2025.
