SRD Grant Payment Dates for December 2024
With the last week of December including Christmas, Boxing Day and New Years Day, Sassa's spokesperson, Paseka Letsatsi, has said that beneficiaries can expect SRD grants to be paid earlier.
December 2024 SRD grant payments are set to be paid to approved grant applicants between 17 December and 23 December 2024.
Beneficiaries are urged to check their SRD status on the official SRD website to determine the exact date their grant will reflect in their bank accounts.

- Visit the SASSA SRD status website: Go to the official Sassa website and navigate to the SRD status check section.
- Enter your details: You'll need to provide your ID number and the cellphone number you used when applying for the grant.
- Verify your identity: A one-time pin (OTP) will be sent to your phone. Enter it to confirm your identity.
- View your status: Once verified, you can see the progress of your grant application and your expected payment date.
Funds may take 2-3 working days to reflect in your bank account after the SRD grant payment is processed. There's no need to withdraw your Sassa money immediately; it will remain in your account until you need it.
You can collect your Sassa social grant at various payment points, including ATMs and retail stores like Pick n Pay, Checkers, Shoprite, and Boxer.
