The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) offers both bursaries and loans designed to cover all the essential needs of students. Applications for NSFAS funding for Trimester 3 are now open!
Different Application Periods for TVET Colleges
Academic calendars at TVET Colleges differ from those at universities and other higher education institutions. As a result, NSFAS provides distinct application periods for TVET College students who are not enrolled in year-long courses.
This application period will close on 20 September, giving you just over two weeks to apply. Don’t miss out on this valuable opportunity—apply before the deadline.
NSFAS has explained that these application periods are closely aligned with the academic calendar, allowing students to apply for funding as they begin their academic cycle. The financial aid scheme advises students to apply for funding relevant to the academic cycle in which they plan to enrol.
What You Need for Your NSFAS Application
To apply for NSFAS, you will need your own cell phone number, email address, and a copy of your ID or birth certificate. Additional documents may be required depending on your specific circumstances.
