The Department of Basic Education (DBE) has announced that learners unsatisfied with their May/June results can register for the end-of-year National Senior Certificate (NSC) exams to improve their scores.
This announcement follows the release of the May/June 2024 matric results in August. Only candidates who participated in the NSC exams are eligible for the November 2024 matric exams.
Registration for the end-of-year matric exams is now open and will close on 21 August 2024. Learners who wrote the May/June 2024 matric exams can rewrite specific subjects in the end-of-year exams to improve their results.
Candidates can only register to improve on the subjects they wrote during the 2024 May/June NSC examination.
The DBE also encouraged learners to familiarise themselves with the information on the back of their statement of results for further details.
