Sassa has confirmed that approved SRD grant applicants will receive their payments between Saturday, August 24, and Friday, August 30.
Checking Your SRD Grant Status
SRD grant beneficiaries can check their application status online by visiting the official Sassa SRD website. Enter your ID number and the phone number used during your application, and click "Check Status." You may be required to enter a one-time PIN (OTP) sent via SMS.

Approved recipients can choose to have their SRD grant paid directly into their bank accounts or collect it in cash at participating supermarkets. This includes boxer, checkers, pick n pay, OK and Spar
SRD Grant Amount for August
Effective April 1, 2024, the SRD grant was increased by R20, bringing the monthly amount to R370. Therefore, SRD grant beneficiaries will receive R370 in August.
