Millions of South Africans depend on the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant for crucial financial support. The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) has now confirmed the payment dates for March 2025, offering clarity to beneficiaries.

March 2025 Payment Dates

Sassa has revealed that SRD grant payments for March 2025 will be processed between 26 March and 28 March 2025. Approved beneficiaries will receive their funds depending on their individual payment status.

Payments (for clients who approved for the month of March 2025) will be processed from 26-28 March 2025.

Beneficiaries are advised to monitor their payment dates via the official SRD website. This ensures they know exactly when funds will reflect in their bank accounts or be available for collection.

Checking SRD Payment Status

To confirm payment details, beneficiaries must check their SRD status online. This requires logging into the official SRD website using the ID number and mobile number provided during the application process.

After logging in, users will receive a one-time PIN (OTP) for secure access. Once authenticated, the system will display the specific date when funds will be available in the beneficiary’s bank account.

Flexible Payment Options

Approved recipients have multiple options for accessing their SRD grant. Funds can be deposited directly into their bank accounts or collected from designated payment points. Participating retailers such as Pick n Pay, Checkers, Shoprite, and Boxer also facilitate grant collections.

Sassa has assured beneficiaries there is no need to withdraw funds immediately. Once deposited, the money will remain secure in the account until needed.
