The University of South Africa (Unisa) 2024 admission application period will close on Friday, 17 November 2023. This gives prospective students little more than 24 hours to submit a Unisa application to study at South Africa's largest university in 2024.
Unisa 2024 applications opened on 1 September 2023 for undergraduate qualifications. During this application period, individuals can apply for admission to a variety of academic programmes, including Higher Certificate programmes, Advanced Certificate Programmes, Diploma programmes, Advanced Diploma programmes and Degree programmes.
Individuals desiring to pursue postgraduate studies, including Honours Degrees and Postgraduate Diplomas, can also apply for admission during this application period.
Who Should Apply During Unisa 2023 Applications
Unisa reminds prospective students that anyone beginning a new qualification must submit an admission application. This includes first-time applicants and current students who are changing their qualifications or areas of specialisation.
Individuals who previously applied for admission but were not offered placement or chose not to register after being offered a place at the university must also submit admission applications.
New applicants can apply for a maximum of two qualifications. If your application is successful, you may either accept or decline Unisa's offer. You can only accept one offer.
Students completing a higher certificate or any other program who wish to continue with further undergraduate studies must also submit applications.
Unisa Honours Degrees And Postgraduate Diplomas.
Applications for admission to Honours Degrees And Postgraduate Diplomas for the 2024 academic year are also set to close on 17 November 2023.
Everyone wishing to start a new qualification must apply for admission, including first-time Unisa applicants, Unisa students changing to a new qualification and/or changing the specialisation of their current qualification, and applicants in their final year of an undergraduate qualification who wish to continue with postgraduate studies.
It's important to note that admission to a postgraduate qualification is not automatic. Admission will depend on whether the applicant complies with the admission requirements and space availability.
