Unisa, renowned for its accessible distance learning programmes, has announced that late applications for the 2025 academic year are now open. This is a great opportunity for prospective students who may have missed the initial application window.

The University of South Africa (Unisa) has now officially opened their late applications period for the 2025 academic year. Unisa 2025 late applications will close on 27 January 2025. 

The late application window for Unisa's postgraduate programs is open as well, giving prospective students until 31 January 2025 to submit their applications for placement.

The University announced the following:

Applications for selected undergraduate qualifications, honours degrees and postgraduate diplomas are to be re-opened from 13 – 27 January 2025. Applications for selected master’s and doctoral degrees re-opened from 23 November to 31 January 2025. 

Documents Needed For Unisa Applications

Documents required for Unisa applications include:

  • A certified copy of your school results
  • A certified copy of any tertiary education academic records 
  • A certified copy of your ID document 
  • Sworn translations of any documents that are not in English or Afrikaans

How to Apply For Admission

Step 1: Visit the Unisa website.

Step 2: Select "admissions" in the menu bar at the top of the screen, and "apply for admission" from the drop-down menu.

Step 3: Select "undergraduate admissions".

Step 4: Click on "Start the process".

Step 5: Follow the prompts on the screen.

Step 6: Fill in all your relevant personal details and ensure that you upload all the required documents.
