Prospective students, as well as returning students will be happy to know that Unisa has officially opened Semester 2 applications. Applications opened today, 17 April 2023.
The university has noted that applications will only be only for selected undergraduate qualifications, so it is advisable to contact or visit the Unisa website to inquire about which programmes are being offered.
Unisa has emphasized:
Everyone wanting to start a new qualification must apply for admission.
This includes, first-time Unisa applicants, Unisa students changing to a new qualification, applicants who previously applied for admission and were not offered a space or who were offered a space, or accepted the offer and did not register.
Students completing a higher certificate or any other programme and who wish to continue with further undergraduate studies can also apply during this period.
Furthermore, Unisa has also advised students who plan on applying to gather and certify certain documents. These documents include:
- A certified copy of your school results
- A certified copy of any tertiary education academic records
- A certified copy of your ID document
- Sworn translations of any documents that are not in English or Afrikaans
Here’s How To Apply
- Visit the Unisa website.
- Select "admissions" in the menu bar at the top of the screen, and the "apply for admission" from the drop-down menu.
- Select "undergraduate admissions".
- Click on "start the process".
- Follow the prompts on the screen.
- Fill in all your relevant personal details and ensure that you upload all the required documents.
Unisa has reminded students that all applications for admission must be submitted during the prescribed application period.
Any applicants who plan to enrol for classes at a Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) college under the Unisa-TVET agreement are urged to apply via the relevant TVET college or online through Unisa.
Semester 2 applications open today, 17 April 2023 and are set to close on Friday, 5 May 2023.
