The University of South Africa (Unisa) has opened registration for the 2025 academic year. Prospective and returning students can now register for undergraduate programs, honors degrees, and postgraduate diplomas.

  • Convenient for paying library fines and other student accounts.

2. Bank Deposits and Transfers:

  • Partner banks: First National Bank (FNB) and ABSA.
  • Deposit cash or make direct transfers at any branch.
  • Include your student number and the correct allocation code (e.g., study fees, library fees).
  • Ensure accurate information on deposit slips to avoid delays.

3. Electronic Funds Transfers (EFTs):

  • Available for South African students banking with FNB and ABSA.
  • Accurate student numbers and allocation codes are crucial for automatic payment allocation.

4. Bulk Payments:

  • Dedicated FNB account for bulk payments from employers, sponsors, bursaries, and donors.
  • Download the payment advice form and submit proof of payment with student details to the designated email address.

Unisa Refunds

Students must submit refund requests in writing with supporting documentation (proof of payment, bank details, identification). Specific requirements apply for third-party refunds (sponsors, parents).

Self-paying students are limited to two refunds per academic year with a minimum refund amount of R100. Refunds are typically processed within 15 working days.
