SMART Resellers win awards, accreditation

At a recent reseller event held by SMART Technologies and VastraTech, Edit Microsystems received the Top Performance Award 2011 for South Africa, and VCS Computer, Namibia, received the Top Performance 2011 award for Rest of Africa for their success in implementing SMART’s collaborative solutions for business and education.

Other SMART/VastraTech awards were:

• AE Software – Top Growth Award 2011 – South Africa

• Intersol, Kenya – Top Growth Award 2011 – Rest of Africa

• Edit Microsystems – Marketing Excellence Award 2011 – South Africa

• Star Knit Trading Company, Mauritius – Marketing Excellence Award 2011 – Rest of Africa.

The event endorsed the certification of eleven resellers in South Africa, Namibia, Botswana and Kenya under the SMART reseller accreditation programme. Five resellers received gold level accreditation for business and education solutions centred on the SMART Board interactive whiteboard. Two received gold accreditation for business solutions only and one received gold accreditation for education solutions. A further three received silver level accreditation for education solutions.

The SMART reseller accreditation programme ensures that SMART resellers maintain a high level of technical proficiency and product knowledge,” says VastraTech CEO Gary Bekker.

Both gold and silver resellers offer comprehensive service and support to customers. In addition, gold resellers have access to the full SMART product portfolio, including SMART’s remote collaboration solutions. They have a larger technical and sales team trained on SMART solutions, and can install and support large-scale projects and networked solutions across one or more sites.

“The SMART reseller accreditation programme has been developed to enhance the sales and technical competencies of SMART’s resellers so that they can provide the best user experience and deliver a full range of services including installation, training and customer support,” says Bekker.

“With their enhanced knowledge of the latest SMART hardware and software products, accredited resellers are able to support customers using the broadest set of collaborative and interactive business and education solutions available.”
