    SALARIES & WAGES
It pays to have a career in HR
    Posted Wed, 15 Feb 2012

South African labour market indicator, the CareerJunction Index (CJI) recently launched trends of salaries in South Africa to provide career seekers with an idea of what is being offered for various professions on the job market.

Salary trends are based on the latest 2011 salary offerings on the popular job board CareerJunction and serve as an indicator of salary offerings for various professions. Included in this list were salary trends for the Human Resources industry.

    Regional Salary Differences

The salary scale below demonstrates the regional percentage difference in salary offerings within the HR industry. Percentages can be used to calculate location specific salaries across various occupations (as outlined above).

Results indicate that Gauteng pays the best, followed by the Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal.

CareerJunction now offers labour market analysis on an ad hoc basis upon request. Research is done using a sample size of over 2 million (both job ad and job seeker numbers). For ad hoc requests, contact cji@careerjunction.co.za
