    Have you recently completed your bachelor’s degree in science or commerce with specialisation in informatics, computer science, information systems, business analysis, or the like?

    Do you want to join the high-paced competitive world of the ICT industry?

    Neotel is offering graduate intern programs in Business Process Management and Revenue Assurance in 6-month segments. This is a unique opportunity to launch your career in ICT.

    Please note: The applications will be open from 3rd June 2009 to 15th June 2009 and short listed candidates will be required to present themselves for an interview at the Neotel Head Office in Woodmead, Johannesburg.

    Revenue Assurance

    The activities performed by Revenue Assurance will provide the intern with a very broad understanding of the telecoms revenue value chain and expose them to all the systems and processes that make up the value chain, including the weaknesses that lead to revenue leakages.

    Interns will be able to apply their systems analysis, software development, business analysis, quantitative analysis skills, to the discipline of Revenue Assurance.

    Typical responsibilities for Revenue Assurance interns will be to:

    Work in the revenue assurance team
    Collect exception reports from all business and functional units as defined in the RA procedure documents
    Conduct analysis of information presented in exception reports and confirm remedial action plans with activity owners
    Analyse bill run information and assist in identifying billing anomalies
    Analyse information in business and operational systems and assist in identifying system and process shortfalls leading to exceptions and losses
    Extract data from business and operational systems
    Assist in quantifying the real revenue loss and exposure for the group

    Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

    Hold a BSC in Computer Science, BCom in Information Systems, Business Analysis, Informatics
    Additional finance diploma or degree will be advantageous
    Excellent analytical skills
    Strong written and verbal communications skills
    Integrity
    Pro-active self starter
    Organised, systematic
    Must be flexible to adapt to rapidly changing environment
    Good interpersonal relations
    Team player

    Business Process Management

    The activities performed by Business Process Management will expose interns to all the policies and procedures deployed in a modern telecommunications provider.

    Interns will also be introduced to the principles and standards promoted by the TeleManagement Forum such as eTOM, TAM and the efforts to align these with the ITIL framework for IT service management.

    Business Process Management strives to develop, implement, monitor, and improve end-to-end process for Neotel’s operation, thus ensuring the highest levels of efficiency, customer experience and cost optimisations.

    Interns will be able to apply their systems analysis, business analysis, and quantitative analysis skills, to the discipline of Business Process Management.

    Typical responsibilities for Business Process Manager Interns will be to:

    Work in the business process management team
    Perform business process analysis and modelling
    Capture cross functional business process requirements
    Learn about best practice standard and methodologies for business process development
    Conduct interviews with Neotel staff members to understand their activities and processes
    Assist in documenting processes
    Conduct process compliance reviews and feedback to stakeholders

    Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes
