    Seta training

Seta training is the term often used to refer to unit standard-aligned training with a workplace focus. However the term Seta Training can be misleading. Setas don't actually deliver training themselves, but they are responsible for accrediting companies who do.

The term Seta refers to Sector Education and Training Authorities that were established under the Skills Development Act to oversee workplace training.

There were originally 25 Setas established but this was later cut down to 23.

If you are looking for training that is recognised by Setas then you have to pick an accredited training provider. Each Seta has a department that approves the quality of the training that is delivered. They are then responsible for accrediting the training providers in their sector. These might be private training providers or public providers such as FET Colleges or Universities.
