    The Equal Education campaign opened their third school library at the Masiyile High School in Khayelitsha. Only 8% of SA schools have libraries and the lack of library facilities has been shown to hamper learner performance at school.

    Action Plan 2014: Major shake-up for SA education

    The Department of Basic Education is finalising its comprehensive turnaround plan for teaching in schools - Action Plan 2014. Twelve outcomes have been approved by cabinet to improve service delivery. Minister Motshekga has signed to deliver on Outcome 1 "Improve the quality of basic education", along with the ministries of Home Affairs, Communications, Health, Public Service and Administration, Science and Technology, and Women, Children and Persons with Disabilities.

    An inaugural class of KZN Business Analysts recently completed the Certificate Programme in Business Analysis with spectacular results. All of the delegates who started the 4-month-long course completed it and nearly achieved the certificate with distinction. FTI's Steve Erlank will be presenting a breakfast seminar on the strategic value of the Business Analysis profession.
