    Creative Thinking

    Tap into your creative thinking pool

    Research on the brain, particularly in the last 20 years has demonstrated the enormous potential that each human is given at birth. The tragedy is that few, if indeed any of us, get to realize this potential. Recent research on obviously talented and gifted individuals who have reached the peaks of achievement in their chosen ¬fields, gives the lie to the notion that “you either have it or you don’t” – some sense of genetic pre-determination, which is remarkably pervasive in our thinking.

    Applying the correct learning and development methodology with sufficient intensity – Deliberate Practice – can produce amazing results in anybody and everybody. Understandably the effort required is enormous, but the distinctive results are extremely telling. Nobody on this earth is doomed to mediocrity – it is a choice we individually make either by omission or commission.

    Few of us think of ourselves as creative thinkers. But there is now a rapidly growing body of literature that has studied how acknowledged creative geniuses, people like Leonardo Da Vinci, Thomas Edison and Albert Einstein, managed the flights of creative imagination that have led to so many breakthroughs in human development.

    Those thinking strategies are available to all of us

    The TACCT programme goes further: it links creativity to leadership and change by showing all participants how to think of themselves as an integral part of a system, not separate from it.

    In this way you can start tapping into that well of creativity that you have, both individually and collectively. And start seeing immediate results personally and in your life’s circumstances by recognising that it is all about YOU and the PURPOSE you have on this earth.

    Teachers will start to critically examine their current teaching methodologies and expand their range of thinking and learning strategies to empower and enable learners to think -fluently and to act wisely in order to cope with the challenges in the world beyond school.

    People in Business will learn creative ways to further develop their cognitive capacities to improve decision-making resulting in productive solutions to both Personal and Professional problems.

    Parents will gain insight into how to interact and engage with key role players in the Education and Training community of practice to alleviate administrative stress, improve teacher morale, reduce parental apathy and contribute to the improvement in learner achievement and overall Matric results.

    How does it work?

    The TACCT programme consists of 3 inter-related parts: A 2-day workshop that introduces all participants to the 8 Thinking Skills Clusters that form the backbone of the programme (maximum 25 per workshop); A 10 week on-line programme that gives participants the deliberate practice that is necessary to embed the thinking skills clusters in their practice;
