Dionysus, which is a skills development organisation offering learnerships, has announced a National Certificate in Management intended for team leaders, supervisors, first line managers and foreman already employed around South Africa.
Now that social work has been recognised as a "scarce skill", what strategies has the government put in place to combat this problem? Over R210 million has been set aside for 2009/10, but government needs to see that South Africa relies too heavily on its current social workers, says Dr Zola Skweyiya.
