The Covid-19 pandemic impacted every part of our lives. It also accelerated the use of digital tools and technology to change the way we complete tasks.

The South African Revenue Service (SARS) allows taxpayers to access all the services offered by SARS digitally. eFiling allows taxpayers to save time and the hassle of traveling to a specific office to sort out all your tax details.

You will also receive proof of delivery when you use eFiling as well as getting prompt notifications. You can also do everything you need to do at a time suitable to you from the comfort and safety of your own home.

Here’s how to update your registered details on SARS eFiling

Step 1: Log into your eFiling account
Step 2: Click SARS registered details
Step 3: Click ‘I Agree’ after reading maintain SARS registered details
Step 4: Click ‘Continue’
Step 5: Click ‘Proceed’

A RAV01 form will appear. You will then be able to move through different sections of your sars profile. Additional documentation may be required should you want to make changes to your profile.

You will also be able to update your eFiling security details. eFiling requires you to provide a cell phone number and an email address.

Once you have made the changes you wanted to, click ‘done’ on the top right hand corner of the screen followed by ‘File’ to submit your details.
