Sassa does not process payments on weekends or public holidays. If a Sassa payment date falls on a non-working day, it will be deferred to the next business day.

Funds will take about 2-3 working days to reflect in the client’s account after payment has been processed.

  2. Cash Collection: If you prefer, you can collect your grant in cash from various locations, including ATMs, Pick n Pay stores, Checkers stores, Shoprite stores, and Boxer stores.

SRD Grant Payments

While the exact dates for SRD grant payments in September 2025 haven't been officially announced, Sassa typically disburses these grants during the final week of the month. To get your specific payment date, you can check your Sassa status online.
