The negative impact of ongoing load shedding on the daily functioning of the state is a concern that led the government to take measures, such as declaring a national state of disaster on electricity. 


As a country that is already battling unemployment and a slow economic outlook, South Africa's ongoing energy crisis has prompted the government to come up with a solution to load-shedding and they have detailed its initial stages. 


As South Africa continues to grapple with the frustrations and negative impacts brought on by the energy crisis, many are wondering if the country will ever experience stable electricity. Although Eskom has assured the public it is working to resolve the problem, loadshedding only seems to worsen. 


The burden of ongoing loadshedding, which seems to be worsening, has garnered some much-needed attention from the government. This comes as President Cyril Ramaphosa cancelled an international  trip in a bid to resolve the ongoing issue.
