As the 2024 academic year starts, thousands of students will be registering in academic programmes at institutions of higher education around South Africa. The registration period for the country's largest university has now been extended.

Unisa has recently faced some scrutiny from students regarding the alleged lack of communication and assistance when it comes to registering online. The institution has come out and disputed these claims.

Unisa has released a statement on its website strongly condemning the fraud and dishonesty that some of their students partake in during examinations and assessments.

South Africa’s largest distance learning institution has announced that it will soon be hosting an open day in the Western Cape.

As we kicked off the beginning of the 2022 academic year, that means many Universities are now in the process of registrations. Unisa has announced that they'll be extending their registration period.

Students at the University of South Africa (Unisa) have been reminded to collect their certificates. This has been an ongoing issue at the university.

Unisa will no longer be issuing certificates to students. The university announced this on Thursday afternoon.

Tensions are high at Unisa, as some students at the university have not been receiving enough assistance.

Unisa has extended the submission date of assignments. The university confirmed this, following the extension of the academic year.

Unisa has announced that it will only have one examination period in 2021. The university's registration period is currently underway until 12 March.

Many students hoping to be enroled to study at Unisa will have to think again, as the university will be accepting less students in 2021.

Unisa has opened mid-year applications for its Short Learning Programmes (SLPs).
