This diploma is aimed at HR and ETD Practitioners across a variety of workplace environments.
The programme is structured around six study blocks or modules (one week each) to support flexibility, access and learner-directed learning.
Candidates may therefore participate on any one module and then at a later date, enroll on any further module as and when suitable.
Below is a schema of the programme delivery framework for this diploma qualification in OD-ETD Practices at NQF Level 5.
Two thousand four hundred notional learning hours (or two years of full-time study) are required to achieve this qualification.
Three enrolment requirements apply to employed candidates who wish to complete this qualification part time
• A minimum of two years of work experience by each applicant is required and the programme begins with an online RPL pre-assessment enabling current competence to be taken into consideration.
• Each study block has been designed as an action-learning programme.
Work schedules are therefore conceptualized, planned and implemented as learning-from-work activities and learning-through-work activities.
Group learning is recommended where participants map out their own learning schedule that may also exceed one year.
• Learning and assessment have been rationalised through integration of the learning outcomes across unit standards that have significant levels of overlap.
Below is a schema of the programme delivery framework for this qualification.
Six modules are facilitated over a week long period with a one-day learner support workshop scheduled six weeks after each module to assist candidates to complete the study block learning.
Whilst this Diploma in OD-ETD Practices NQF Level 5 requires candidates to achieve a minimum of 240 credits;
the first four study blocks collectively offer a maximum of 170 credits and the remaining two study blocks provide 70 credits.
The combined credit value of all six-study blocks is thus 249.
As candidates are required to choose four areas of specialisation, this programme has been structured to promote flexibility and career path progression.

Should candidates already have more than 10 of these unit standards or at least all the unit standards in any one role, recognition of prior learning (RPL) options are available and should be requested for in the enrolment process.
