This Industrial Relations course is a workshop designed to enable delegates to understand their rights and duties as staff representative (shop stewards) as well as providing a basic understanding of applicable labour relations legislation. It will lead delegates through the required procedural and substantive aspects pertaining to disciplinary action principles as contained in the Labour Relations Act.

Name and interpret the principles relating to dismissal as contained in the Labour Relations Act.
Explain the consequences of unfair dismissal and the precedents set by the courts.
List the guiding principles and framework of Collective Labour Law.
Explain the importance and purpose of a correct grievance procedure and it’s impact on the workplace.
