Day 1 – Theoretical LearningIncorporating 70% Practical and 30% Theoretical skills in the facilitation style. |

| Assessment Strategy: |
Learners are required to apply skills and knowledge obtained on the course in the workplace. The facilitator will incorporate 70% practicality by means of examples, activities and role-plays. |
LEGISLATED COMPLIANCY
Section 17 of the Occupational Health & Safety Act of 1993 states:
At least 1 Safety Representative for every 20 employees at each designated workplace.
FAILURE TO COMPLY
COULD LEAD TO PROSECUTION
Employers have a Moral & Legal obligation to prove that their Company is actively participating in the Implementation & Enforcement of Occupational Health and Safety.
PASSIVE INVOLVEMENT WOULD NOT SUPPORT ANY LEGAL CLAIM.
