PROGRAMME DETAILS How to implement and document First Aid in accordance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act of 1993 covering Safety Representation within the workplace.

Accredited:	-Programme not SETA Accredited -Programme Registered with Department of Labour -Training Provider Accredited and only make use of Accredited Trainer.

Entry Requirement:	-Learners required being on a basic NQF level1, Numeric and Literacy level -Minimum experience of 14 days in workplace. -No other experience required for entry level.
Target Group:	-General Staff-Supervisors-Junior Managment
Duration:	Day 1 – Theoretical LearningIncorporating 70% Practical and 30% Theoretical skills in the facilitation style.
Certification:	- Certificate of Attendance – on completion of the course.
Learner Material:	Learners will receive the following learning materials: - Learners guide - Additional resources where required.
Assessment Strategy:	Learners are required to apply skills and knowledge obtained on the course in the workplace. The facilitator will incorporate 70% practicality by means of examples, activities and role-plays.

LEGISLATED COMPLIANCY

Section 17 of the Occupational Health & Safety Act of 1993 states:

At least 1 Safety Representative for every 20 employees at each designated workplace.

Employers have a Moral & Legal obligation to prove that their Company is actively participating in the Implementation & Enforcement of Occupational Health and Safety.

PASSIVE INVOLVEMENT WOULD NOT SUPPORT ANY LEGAL CLAIM.
