The Swiss Hotel School prepares students for careers in the dynamic field of hospitality and tourism through short courses and certificate and diploma programs.

Located in Ferndale, a suburb of Johannesburg, South Africa, the SHS opened in 1995, offering a curriculum and educational philosophy modeled on that of the Hotel School Belvoirpark in Zurich.

The Swiss Hotel School offers excellent practical facilities, breadth of education in such subjects as eco-tourism, foreign languages and cultural studies, and high level of faculty attention with more classroom hours in small groups.

The Swiss Hotel School graduates have been highly successful in securing positions both locally and internationally.

The three year hospitality management diploma, covers a broad amount of business subjects intergrated with practical componments during the school day.

This provides greater confidence on graduation.

Short internships are completed during the first and second year, with a longer six month internship in the third year.

International internships are the choice of many of our students.

The Swiss Hotel School Conference centre, based in Ferndale, Randburg, has been established to meet the needs of professional training and HRD practisioners.

The conference centre is also refered to as The Learning Centre.

The centre offers a central location in the northern suburbs, with good access and lots of free parking.
