Continuing Education for Africa (CEFA)

Continuing Education for Africa, or fondly called CEFA, received an Institution of Sectoral or Occupational Excellence (ISOE) award from the Heath and Welfare SETA during 2008.

CEFA is a Section 21 Company.

The aim of the company is to equip unemployed young people with knowledge, skills and values to allow them to become involved in the development of people and communities as employees.

The basis of the training model is to establish satellite offices in communities or in a workplace from where training occurs.

This training comprises accredited level 4 training, short courses and skills programs, supported by a strong mentor and coaching programme.

Together with the training of learners, members of the community are empowered by training to be used as facilitators, as well as by means of mentorship and coaching.

In order to ensure further sustainability of these projects the expertise of the institution remains available in the form of follow-up services.

Courses we specialise in are:

  • Social Auxiliary Work
  • Community Development: HIV/AIDS Support
  • Early Childhood Development
  • Victim Empowerment
  • Leadership Training
  • Mentoring and Coaching
