Call the Rain

Call the Rain cc was born in 2001. The inspiration for the name of the company came from the concept that the desire for behavioural change in the fight against HIV/AIDS was similar to the longing of many African communities for rain. The company has grown from offering a unique “story-telling” methodology – colloquially called the ©One Bokkie Story – to offering Counselling Training, including the latest HCT guidelines, training around advocacy and tuberculosis prevention, as well as other diseases. It offers services in assisting companies and non-profit organisations obtaining accreditation status with the HWSETA, as well as performing Assessment and Moderation functions for short courses and qualifications. In 2009 Call the Rain cc was awarded with an ISOE Award from the HWSETA for its innovative storytelling approach to HIV/AIDS prevention. The ©One Bokkie Story has been used by over 500 storytellers from across South Africa, Swaziland, Malawi and Namibia in the fight against HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis. VISION The ©One Bokkie Story will be told in every school, church and factory so as to build strong families in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
