Skills Development Facilitators (SDFs) are the link between companies and their Seta. SDF Training is very valuable to the employer as it ensures that their SDF is working as efficiently as possible.

The SDF will assess the training needs of an employer and then compile a Workplace Skills Plan - or WSP.

The Skills Development Act does not specify any qualifications that an SDF should hold before operating. However it is always very useful if the facilitator undergoes an SDF training programme.

SDF training can be provided by any company that is accredited to deliver it.
