Credit Skills Training Institute (CSTI)
Personal Financial Health Workshop
30-JUN-08

South Africa is experiencing a shift in economic policy, entrenched with uncertainty about future prospects, job losses, interest rate hikes, increased food/petrol prices and much more.

This is having an enormous impact on productivity due to increased financial distress among individuals, shifting the focus from daily working activities to socio-economic problems and in the process decreasing overall productivity levels.

More and more pressure is being placed on the Human Resource Department to deal with garnishee orders in addition to members of staff being absent due to shortages of funds for transport.

At CSTI we understand the importance of being financially healthy as well as what preventative measures to take to avoid falling in a debt trap which leads to added administration to the Human Resource Department.

After researching contributing factors leading to financial distress we came up with the concept of the Financial Health Workshop:

Focus Areas to be covered at the workshop:

  • How to Take Charge of my Financial Situation
  • How to Avoid Future Financial Distress
  • Assessing and Understanding my Financial Status
  • How to Budget
  • The Importance of Personal Finance
  • The Need for Financial Planning
  • Saving Decisions
  • Understanding the function of Credit Bureaus and Credit Reports
  • The Importance of Creditworthiness when Applying for Credit
  • Default Information and Judgements
  • Managing your Credit Accounts Responsibly
  • The Debt Trap

What makes CSTI different from the rest?

  • We are an accredited training provider who understands the importance of having a good financial report as well as current credit granting methodologies followed by credit providers when extending credit.
  • Insight on the workings of a credit bureau and the evaluation of credit reports – as we are the sister company of CompuScan Credit Bureau.
  • Over the past year we have trained almost 100 Debt Counsellors to assist the deemed to be and already over-indebted consumers.
  • In addition to this we’ve up-skilled and trained 2000+ credit providers on credit related courses and many more…

Benefits to the Company

Taking on the social responsibility of sending your employees will reduce the time spent on garnishee orders as your employees will be better equipped to handle their financial affairs.

A decrease in absenteeism relating to insufficient fund for transport matters.

An increase in productivity as less time would be spent on worrying about matters causing financial distress among your employees.

Doing training with a reputable, accredited training provider would entail that a portion of money spent on this training intervention will be able to be claimed back.

The choice is yours…
