Team building- development- games- interventions and training have become very popular in a world moving towards participatory organisation and leadership, and particularly in South Africa, where every organisation has diverse resources.

No two teams are alike. They are complex, living organisms that evolve when individuals within the group effect change, and when situations from outside the group present challenges.

Staff training interventions have been developed by training providers in order to establish a vision for those teams to adhere to. Analysing customers and risk, and setting strategic goals for the future can be a useful exercise for staff to align objectives.

Interventions can also ensure team cohesion, in the form of establishing an identity, reinforcing working relationships and understanding team roles, setting expectations and more.

In addition, team building events can be used for conflict resolution, as a means to identifying sources of tension and seeking a means to resolution.

Lastly, HR training and development can be used for building work teams that function as stand-along business units that use required processes to reach objectives.
