Curro is delighted that its Matric Class of 2022 recorded an exceptional 98.63% pass rate for the 2022 academic year. This achievement is based on the performance of its 1893 learners who wrote the Independent Examinations Board (IEB) exams last year.

Minecraft: Education Edition is used in schools in more than 115 countries to facilitate STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) learning and to aid in the development of skills for the fourth industrial revolution. Impressively, across the globe, 126 million people are playing Minecraft each month. The Curro Clash Minecraft Esport League kicked off on 22 June, and has seen a major response from learners across different Curro schools in SA. Curro learners are able to play Minecraft: Education Edition for free as part of their school technology provision. 

South Africa has one of the highest youth unemployment rates in the world (at 55.9%). SA’s working population (labour absorption rate) is also unfortunately on the decline.
