If your application for the Sassa R350 Social Relief of Distress (SRD) Grant was declined, you can now appeal for a review. This new SRD portal is an addition to Sassa's email channel which has been used to process appeals.

Sassa has paid out a total of R13.5 billion to beneficiaries of the R350 Social Relief of Distress (SRD) Grant. Although money has been paid out, the agency is still facing some challenges with applications. 

The Department of Basic Education is not exactly at peace with the recent judgement to set aside the rewrite of 2 matric exam papers.

Good news for motorists, as the department of transport has extended the grace period for driving licenses. All driving licences that expired between 26 March 2020 and 31 December 2020 will now expire on a new date.
