Stats SA has released new data showing the reality of the impact of Covid-19 on South Africa's work force. Many people have been badly affected since the beginning of the lockdown.

Turns out local is lekker, as the Covid-19 vaccine will be made within our borders. South Africa has been working in collaboration with a few pharmaceutical companies in an effort to make the vaccine available to the African continent.

For some time, the alcohol industry has been calling for lockdown restrictions to be eased and the time has finally arrived. Not only are alcohol restrictions being eased, but so are the restrictions placed on international travel.

Irregular payments of relief funds are nothing new for the UIF. It has now been discovered that some government employees have wrongfully been benefitting from the relief scheme intended to help those affected by the lockdown.

The national elections will be taking place next year, but how will voting take place with Covid-19? It seems much thought and planning has already gone into how these elections will take place.

While some countries seem to have been recovering well from Covid-19, recording fewer new infections, this is not the case globally.  There has been a recent global spike in the number of Covid-19 cases.

For many South Africans, retirement is a distant reality. Exactly how much of the population can afford life after work?

The upcoming by-elections are the first to take place this year after being postponed in March because of Covid-19. Some more setbacks could be expected in the long run.
