GradCampus.com is part of the SCRS Group. The Group was founded in 2005 and specialise in education, e-learning and learning technologies. The Career Builder Programmes (CBPs) were developed over the past few years, specifically for school leavers and young graduates to prepare themselves for the world of work and to improve their own employability prospects. Some of the programmes include very focussed small business and/or entrepreneurial content to also enable graduates to start their own small businesses after obtaining some experience in industry.  

People Management for Supervisors

This course comprises six unit standards totalling 51 credits.

This is a six day workshop, with an additional day for prep and PoE one month later (following completion of summative assessments.) The six days can either be done successively, or over a six week period.

The course content is taken from the Further Education and Training Certificate: Generic Management - ID 57712 and comprises the following unit standards:

Human Resources & Labour Relations - NVC 4 (Skills Programme)

The purpose of this programme is to equip learners with the necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes to implement and manage human resource and labour relations policies and acts.

Entrepreneurship - NVC 4 (Skills Programme)

The purpose of this programme is to equip the learners with
the necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes to develop within
themselves, the personal characteristics of an entrepreneur
that ensure the successful operation of a new venture and to
apply the concept, principles and theories of motivation in a
leadership context.

The Ultimate Sales Approach

This workshop has been designed to meet the final outcome of increased sales through empowerment of the individual to seeing the sales desk as a "franchise" or cost centre as such. It is intended to be used for all new recruits in the induction process in a modular fashion but also for all existing call centre agents as a self-empowerment workshop.

Basic Project Management

Aim: This basic project management workshop has been designed to assist project managers, administrators and team members to plan for and execute projects and tasks efficiently and fully. This basic project management course is essential for all managers, supervisors, project managers, personal assistants, organisers and team leaders. The basics as described in this workshop offer the bedrock for organised and controlled, measured and successful completion of tasks and projects whilst encouraging accountability, managing risks and full understanding of the scope and mandate.

Apply innovative thinking to the development of a small business

PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD
This Unit Standard is aimed at giving the learners a fundamental understanding of the importance of innovation in business success. The learner will gain knowledge of specific techniques for releasing creativity in the development a viable business venture.

It will also address the behavioural (psycho-social) barriers that contribute to failure in starting and sustaining an enterprise.
