The Operational & Risk Management course is designed to focus on the roles’ chief concerns; Planning, Organising and Supervising. Whether in production, manufacturing or the provision of services the focus needs to be on delivery, ensuring that an organization successfully turns inputs to outputs in an efficient manner.
The purpose of this qualification is to allow Junior Personnel and elected candidated to progress towards a position of farm laboures (operators) with specific reference to Animal Production. The contexualised purpose and usage of the qualification is as follows:
A learner assessed against this qualification will have the necessary competence to participate as part of a working team, performing the agricultural processes as applicable to animal production in an established and familiar context under general supervision.

The qualification provides learners with the opportunity to gain competence in poultry production and will facilitate their securing employment in the industry. For those who are already employed in a poultry production farm, the multi-skilling that the qualification offers will expand their horizons and allow them to follow career paths in other sectors of the industry.
This qualification provides learners with a firm foundation of portable skills with which to enter the horticultural industry in its broadest sense, or if already employed in the industry, be able to look forward to a career path in any sector of the industry.

The purpose of this qualification is to allow new entrants access to the Primary Agricultural Sector with specific reference to Animal Production. The contexualised purpose and usage of the qualification is as follows:
Health and Safety Induction videos serves to train and inform staff, visitors and contractors of the Hazardous processes, Hazardous material, noise zones or any potential hazards they may encounter while at work or during a visit to the site.
Such videos are equally necessary as they serve to orientate and induct the new staff within the organisation.
LifeLine’s experiential Team building session will allow participants the opportunity to encounter and bond with each other on a deeper level. Opportunities will be created for venting of negative feelings, followed by individual responsibility dynamic exercises where each individual will take responsibility for the success of their team and understand their vital place within that team. Team building exercises will be balanced with discussions. Informality and laughter will prevail.
This outcomes based training program introduces and skills learners on International SHE Auditing practices (ISO 14000; OHSAS 18000 series and the SRA Integrated Series). Learners are given hands on skills needed to plan Audits; conduct Audits and Report on Audit findings. Step by step workshops and in-class activities are used to further reinforce the competencies of the learner.
Learners will familiarize themselves with development of Standards and Procedures based on the \
International Organisation for Standardization (ISO) and National Safety Council (USA) criteria.

Learners will be able to apply safety, health and environmental principles and procedures in a workplace thereby contributing to a safe and healthy working environment. They will also be able to assist management with the Implementation of an integrated SHE management program in the workplace.
This course focuses on the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 85/1993.
