Whether or not you have a business there are certain traits that identify you as entrepreneurial.
Entrepreneurs are known to be passionate and resilient people but what other characteristics or habits are linked to these modern innovators?
In the video “The 15 Characteristics of Effective Entrepreneurs” successful business owners help to define this term.
We look at 5 behavioural patterns common to the 21st century entrepreneur:
You take action
An entrepreneur doesn't wait for the perfect business strategy to pursue their goals. They are able to learn and adapt as they take steps to see their idea being realized. Entrepreneurs are energetic and enthusiastic and often work long hours.
You are resourceful
This means that you are able to make use of the tools and materials you have rather than waiting to obtain everything you need. In this sense entrepreneurs are creative problem solvers.
You see potential
Entrepreneurs see potential where others see risk. An entrepreneur is often described as optimistic and fearless. They believe their investments of time and money will pay off and are willing to step out of their comfort zones to achieve their goals.
You are an “outsider”
“Entrepreneurs are not always accepted”. In fact entrepreneurs often face rejection and criticism for their unique ideas and beliefs. They are seen as different and don't follow the status quo.
You are motivated by challenges
While some people avoid challenges or discomfort entrepreneurs become energised when confronted with obstacles. “Challenges motivate them to work harder”.
