These changes to the ETQA operational processes have been piloted over the last 6 months and are as a result of numerous areas of feedback (i.e. Customer Satisfaction Survey, National Learner Register Database, SAQA, DoL, sector employers and training providers etc).

After extensive consultation, Karen Hobbs, ETQA Manager and her team, worked tirelessly to overhaul the whole function with new policies, new functions (site visits and monitoring), new processes, new work flow process, new templates and guidelines, new online registration of assessors and moderators. These operating model outcomes will be beneficial to stakeholders and will definitely be inclusive of all BANKSeta accredited organizations.
Karen Hobbs assures that all training provider forums will be scheduled regularly on the ETQA calendar, Invitations to the BANKSeta ETQA subcommittee meetings are now extended to the accredited training providers, and processes have been streamlined to place more emphasis on the on-site monitoring of providers and less reliance on submission of hard copy documents.
"Every document has changed. We now have workflow processes on our website, so that stakeholders can see how the process works and what they are required to do at each stage. The Quality Management System has also been reviewed. It now states the work processes and the steps in each of those processes. We are very proud of our new world-class ETQA operating model. We are proud of our ETQA team, which has implemented these changes' states the BANKSETA ETQA Manager, Karen Hobbs.
