The time has come for South Africans to unite and play their part in helping our nation overcome this hurdle and emerge victoriously. As the deadly Covid-19 virus continues to destroy families, cripple economies, and stretch medical resources to its limits, South Africa and her citizens desperately need your help.
In support of the efforts by the rest of the government to ensure interaction with members of the public, SA’s National Treasury has requested our help. An email address has been set up to allow members of the public to offer their ideas and suggestions on how the matter can be dealt with.
This comes after President Cyril Ramaphosa’s televised speech declaring a nationwide lockdown for 21-days with effect from midnight on Thursday 26 March 2020.
He went on to thank those who are subjected to this global threat by saying “On behalf of the nation, I would also like to thank the health workers, our doctors, nurses and paramedics who are on the frontline of the pandemic, our teachers, border officials, police and traffic officers and all the other people who have been leading our response.”
In truth, it is the duty of every South African to curb the spread of the virus and support our fellow citizens during this trying time.
This will undoubtedly test our nation’s limits.
