Can You Apply For The Grant At A Sassa Office?

No, you cannot apply for the R350 grant at the post office. You can apply for the grant online on the Sassa SRD Website. You can also make use of the Whatsapp R350 grant application option.

The R350 grant was previously given to citizens under the Disaster Management Act. However, when President Cyril Ramaphosa ended the national state of disaster in April, the grant had to be provided under new legislation. The grant is now proved under the Social Assistance Act.

It's important to note that you will not be able to collect your grant at the post office anymore.

You will have the option to collect your grant at Pick n Pay, Boxer, Shoprite, Checkers and USave stores. Sassa has assured grant beneficiaries they will not be charged for collecting their grants at these outlets.
