If you've been wanting to collect your R350 grant payment, you'll have to make sure you have a few things in order before cashing out.

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has urged beneficiaries of the R350 grant to wait until they receive an SMS before collecting their R350 grant. If you haven't received an SMS yet, this means your grant payment is not ready to be collected.

"Clients are requested to await an SMS from SASSA before going to collect money from Boxer or PicknPay. You must take your ID and physical cellphone along to the store when collecting your grant." the Post Office said in a tweet.

If you have lost your cellphone or no longer have access to the phone you used when applying for the grant, you can call the Sassa customer care by dialing 0800 601 011.

SASSA is also available on the following platforms:

If your grant application was rejected, you can apply to have your grant reconsidered by following these steps:

Step 2: Click on where it says ‘click here to apply for reconsideration’.
Step 3: You will be asked to provide your ID number and Mobile number.
Step 4: Follow the prompts to complete the reconsideration of your payment.
