The South African social support grants are distributed via a number of different methods. One of the more popular methods people to choose to access their grant money is via the post office.
The South African Post Office (SAPO) has designated days during the month when different grants are distributed to the public.
The Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant, popularly known as the R350 grant, does not have a designated day for distribution. However, the SRD grant is not distributed on days when other social relief grants are distributed.
The other social grants are normally distributed in the first week of the month. For November, the dates for these grants have already passed.
The Post Office said...
If you are going to collect your R350 SRD grant, the last 3 digits of your ID number gives the day on which you can visit a Post Office.
- Mondays: 084 & 089
- Tuesdays: 080 & 085
- Wednesdays: 081 & 086
- Thursdays: 082 & 087
- Fridays: 083 & 088
SRD grant beneficiaries are still urged to wait for an SMS informing them that their money is available. This would prevent SRD grant applicants from going to the post office and being turned away.
