Jobworx launch security officers learnership in KZN


Jobworx is one of a small number of Employment and Skills Development Lead Employers (Esdles) licensed by the Department of Labour to roll-out learnerships into smaller companies. The organisation aims to increase the number of unemployed people and SMMEs that participate in regulated training.

Jobworx are in the process of recruiting 340 currently unemployed learners for a General Security Officers Learnership NQF Level 3.

This learnership prepares a learner to be able to apply knowledge, skill and workplace experience in order to provide general security services that fall within a required legal framework and to maintain a safe and secure society.

Learners will spend 4 months engaging in the theory/institutional component of the learnership programme. Jobworx will offer learner support by managing learner orientation, mentoring learners and assisting in the integration of the institutional learning with the workplace component, developing learning paths and offering customized learner support materials.

The organisation will also partner with, and build the capacity of, smaller training providers and provide a learner rich environment.

Learners will be placed at Mvimbeni Security Services, Swarm Security and KZN Security for eight months of the learnership in order to gain practical on the job training.

Learners will be equipped with appropriate skills thereby increasing their chances of employment within the security sector.

Learners who are assessed competent at the end of the programme will achieve a National Certificate in General Security Practices.

Candidates applying for this learnership must have a Grade E Certificate and will be required to participate in our recruitment and selection process.
