The University of South Africa (Unisa) has called on students to finalise their registration and pay the minimum required fees before next week's deadline.
Registrations for unisa's second semester will close on 29 July 2022, while the deadline for minimum fee payments will be 31 July 2022. These dates apply to both undergraduate and postgraduate studies. However, only online registrations will be accepted for Honours degrees and postgraduate diplomas
Previously, the deadline to register for the second semester was 18 July 2022. However, students now have an extra week to secure their spot at South Africa’s largest distance learning institution.
The announcement from Unisa applies to new applications as well as returning Unisa students who applied for admission to a new qualification. Re-registering students must register for the 2022 academic year during the relevant registration period.
All Unisa registered students will be provided with a free myLife email address. Once students have access to this email address, they must activate their myLife e-mail account as soon as their registration is finalised. This email will be used as the primary email address on record at the university.
Once students have registered, they will be required to pay a minimum fee. The final date for initial minimum payment of fees is 31 July 2022. This minimum fee payment is compulsory for the Unisa to finalise a student’s registration
Unisa has also revealed that the final date for payment of all outstanding study fees is 31 August 2022.
